I love history, and the T&P is one of those narrow fields of interest which only a relative handful of persons really care about.
I don't want to run this blog, and I'm not going to... but!
I'm going to throw some pictures up, some videos if I can find them, and above all, links the the diaspora of T&P fan sites.
Lets start there: Fan sites, perhaps diluting each others potential:
Yahoo Groups: Texas Pacific Railway Club
Blog with forum: Route of the Eagles
Web Site: Texas & Pacific Railway (formerly, I think, "Railfan Depot")
Web Site: Memories of the T&P
Web Site: Historic Outline of the Texas & Pacific Railroad (From the MOPAC Screaming Eagles site)
And some Maps:
The David Rumsey Map Collection Site is a key to fans |
Time Tables
But it is not just maps, as David Rumsey's Collection even includes a wealth of time tables:

UTA:
Of course, if you are doing any historical research, you either already know or would soon find out that the University of Texas at Arlington is a primary source of historical documents and phots, many of which are available online.
UTA is primary source |
SMU:
Southern Methodist University in Dallas also has a significant collection, especially in the DeGolyer Library.
Videos:
A video to get you started (wait for it-- the 610 really is in there!)
Pictures:

Wow! From a car modification web site-- who 'da thought? |

My point is...
In an hour, I threw this blog and blog entry together--
- Each Entry can start a discussion, include pictures, videos as well as text
- Comments are easy for visitors to make, and editors to moderate,
- Contributors/Editors can easily be added, deleted, and changed
- It is doubtful that a single Nigerian spam letter will ever appear!
